iono Documentation - Blacklist
You can use the blacklist to prevent users from registering or even accessing the entire system. A system wide blacklist entry allows blocking of specific IP addresses. A customer account entry allows you to prevent creation of new accounts with specific names, IPs and e-mail addresses.
There are 2 different types of blacklist
- System Wide - The blacklist entry will have effect across the entire application. This is limited to IP address banning only.
- Customer Accounts - This type of entry will prevent new customer accounts being created with a specific IP address, first/last name and e-mail address.
You can use the Customer Accounts type with the e-mail block to block specific domain names. For example, you could use this to block free e-mail accounts. This is done by specifying the e-mail address in the form *@example.com where example.com is the domain name you wish to block. For example *@hotmail.com
